What is Ficus Tuffi?
Ficus Tuffi is a dense evergreen tree with standout emerald, green foliage which becomes darker as it matures. They are a quick growing and robust plant that thrives in most environments, with a few easy-care instructions.
Why Ficus Tuffi?
It is an incredibly versatile plant and can be used to enhance an array of different styled landscapes. It can add instant height for privacy, growing into an excellent hedge or screen. If you are looking to bring a bold design element into your space then this is the perfect plant for being sculpted into a pleached hedge or topiary of your liking. You might even choose to plant it as a standalone tree or grow it in a pot, making a beautiful front door entrance frame.

Onestone Landscapes has been a big fan of Ficus Tuffi and has been using this versatile plant for over 15 years, mainly to create privacy and shade hedges but were struggling to source the quantity of mature plants they required. When Onestone acquired their nursery in 2019, the decision was made to begin growing a variety of their own plants that could be used for their clients, without any delays in ordering and knowing they were healthy plants that would thrive when planted in any environment. With demand growing, the company has decided to open up sales to the market place, with their guarantee of quality, healthy plants and exceptional customer service being highly valued by their clients.

Position
Plant in full sun or partial shade where soil is moist but free-draining. Use for screening, as a specimen tree (does well potted also), or as a pleached hedge.
Planting
For hedging/screening, consider planting between 60cm to 1m centres between each plant. Dig a hole that is double the size of the plant bag. Backfill the hole with a quality compost or sheep pellets. Water consistently until the plant is established.
Care
Young plants will need some protection from frost. Consider feeding with a quality compost seasonally.

How far apart should I plant my Ficus Tuffi?
Ideally between 60cm to 1m centres. As an example, a 15m hedge will require 15 – 25 plants. The width of a mature ficus hedge will be between 1 – 1.2m.
How often should I fertilize my Ficus Tuffi?
You should fertilize your Ficus Tuffi every 3 to 6 months.
What height will Ficus Tuffi grow to?
Ficus Tuffi grow 4 – 5m tall but can be maintained in the size and shape of your choice.
